The challenge raised in this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 is to the communication dated 21/09/2023 that has been issued by the Deputy Secretary, Home Department Mantralay, Mumbai by which the Director General of Police, Maharashtra State, Mumbai has been directed to constitute a Special Investigation Team-SIT into various offences registered against the petitioner. A further direction has been issued to the SIT to submit its detailed report to the Home Department within a period of three months.
